My paper "What is the Role of Legal Systems in Financial Intermediation?Theory and Evidence " (joint with Laura Bottazzi and Thomas Hellmann) is now published in the Journal of Financial Intermediation, vol.18 (3), 559-598, October 2009. .

My paper "The Role of Trust for Investment: Evidence from Venture Capital" (joint with Laura Bottazzi and Thomas Hellmann) won the NASDAQ Award for the best paper on capital formation presented at the 2006 meetings of the Western Finance Association.
