CentER

Assessments of Research Quality

CentER places great importance on high quality scientific research. All research is therefore periodically tested by (inter)national committees consisting of outstanding international scientists. An external evaluation is carried out once every six years, and in addition, an internal evaluation is carried out every three years (mid-term review).

The responsibility for the research assessments lies with the Executive Board of the University. For the assessments, a Standard Evaluation Protocol (SEP) is used. This SEP has been jointly written by the KNAW (Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences), the VSNU (Association of Universities in the Netherlands) and the NWO (Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research).
