CentER Graduate School receives 800.000 euro from NWO
CentER Graduate School is one of nine graduate schools that will receive an additional grant in the new Graduate Programme of NWO. Minister Ronald Plasterk of OCW made this announcement on 12 August 2009. The grant (800.000 euro per school) is meant for the formation of an excellent education and research environment for very talented young researchers.
An assessment committee of NWO found that CentER belongs to the top of the world in economics and that it offers a thorough and well-tried educational programme to PhD students. CentER has been one of the pioneers in the reforming of research policy and PhD education within the division of social sciences. At a scale of 1 (excellent) to 5 (moderate) CentER scores a 1,5 according to the jury.
